Los Frailes 2022 La Danza de la Moma

Moma is a blend of Monastrell and Marselan (a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache) from a single vineyard on limestone soils. As they explain, "Marselan is a combination of concentration, structure and roundness together with a surprise high acidity and freshness. This Mediterranean generosity is balanced with the elegance and long expressiveness of a Monastrell of 65 years old of unique personality." The Marselan is aged in new French oak and 1st and 2nd year oak barrels of 225L for 15 months. The Monastrell is aged in 500L oak barrels for 15 months. The result is a full bodied and generous red with integrated tannins that has deep color and richness.
