Vater & Sohn (German for Father and Son) references a time when Michael and his father used to work on blending together. It is a blend of 55% Müller-Thurgau, 25% Silvaner, 10% Riesling, 10% Grauburgunder. Grapes are crushed by foot and direct-pressed, except the Grauburgunder which undergoes 1 week of maceration. The wine is aged for 18 months with the Müller-Thurgau and Silvaner in stainless steel, Grauburgunder and Riesling in oak. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with no sulfur added.
A beautifully textured with with notes of orange blossom, and peach. It has great balance with nice acid and freshness on the finish.
