Ratte 2023 Chardonnay Grand Curoulet (Arrives 10/28)

This is always an exceptional wine year in and year out, and the 2023 vintage is no exception. Vines are an average of 80-90 years-old. It ages mostly in steel with some old barrels mixed in. A pale straw in the glass, this opens with some flinty reduction and mineral depth on the nose, with very subtle lemon and crisp apple fruit. It's lithe and racy on the palate with profound texture and a long, mineral finish. Perhaps one of the best slightly under-the-radar Jura whites that deserves a space in everyone's cellar.
