Chateau de Verreux 2023 Pinot Noir (Arrives 10/28)

This outstanding Pinot Noir comes from a .8ha plot in En Brut planted in 1999 on clay topsoil over grey marl. It is made with 20% whole clusters and 80% destemmed fruit, fermented in stainless steel and aged ten months in 225L and 400L barrels. It shows beautiful bright red fruit over a mineral backbone, with structure and tension while still retaining incredible freshness. It's great now but will continue to age another ten years.
