Chemins de L'Arkose 2024 Le Clos

The 2024 "Le Clos" is 80% Gamay D'Auvergne with 20% Pinot Noir, from a single vineyard at Blanzat on the slopes of Chateaugay, Auvergne, on unique soils combining basalt, clay- limestone and volcanic rock. Destemmed, 21-day maceration, aged in cuve. The wine shows complex, pretty red fruit and earth aromas with a bright palate of raspberry, cherry, floral and mineral flavors that are quite unique. Lovely freshness and terrific length of mineral and red fruits, citrusy acidity in the bright finish. Serve quite cool with grilled meats and vegetables, cheeses like Pawlet and Raclette.
