Pura Branco comes from 2 co-planted plots of old-vines on the Serra da Estrela. The cepage features Encruzado, Bical, Fernao Pires, Dona Branca, Rabo de Ovelha, and Malvasia Fina among others. Planted on granite, the vines range from 60 to 100 years old. Free-run juice is fermented spontaneously in 500 L barrels, and aged on the total lees for 11 months. The wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation.
