New Arrivals from Arianna Occhipinti & Elisabetta Foradori!

4/18/26 -

Two of our favorite women in wine have new releases (and a few re-ups) in the same week, how exciting! While Arianna Occhipinti and Elisabetta Foradori are on polar opposite ends of Italy, they have a lot in common. Both women are trailblazers of their regions, elevating their landscapes as well as the reputation of native grapes.

Arianna Occhipinti

Arianna was very young when she started her own winery in the early 2000's after purchasing one hectare in Vittoria, Sicily. Now she has been making wine for over 20 years, and her total hectares have expanded slowly through her career. The focus on local grapes like Frappato, Nero D'Avola, Zibibbo and Grillo has stayed at the core of the work.

Chambers' connection to Arianna Occhipinti goes way back. Before my time here, the store would host a public tasting in Tribeca in collaboration with importer Louis/Dressner, and Arianna's visit left a mark on the store. I am proud to continue the tradition of stocking as much Occhipinti as we possibly can whenever her wines hit the States!

Elisabetta Foradori

In a little corner between Alto-Adige and Trentino at the feet of the Dolomites, Elisabetta Foradori quietly created a legendary winery a few decades ago. She focused on very low yields, passionate agriculture, and biodynamics. These wines not only express the character of local grapes like Teroldego, Manzoni Bianco and Nosiola, but also the unique soil in the foothills of the Alps. The whites thrive in red clay & Dolomitic limestone, while the reds are defined by stone, gravel, and sand on the Dolomitic limestone. Now after many decades of success, Elisabetta's children, Theo, Emilio and Myrtha have not only maintained tradition, but have been expanding towards vegetable cultivation and cheesemaking.

Today's offer includes everything from fresh and lively wines to contemplative and terroir focused wines. No matter your preferred style, you are in good hands with these winemakers!
