5800 bottles produced. Mostly Mencia and other red grapes along with some Palomino and Dona Blanca, this field blend comes from two very old plots in Valtuille de Abajo. Fermented whole cluster in a 5000 liter oak vat before aging in 3400 liter troncoconic oak and 500 liter barrel for two winters. The wine is very silky, and much more fresh and open when compared to other benchmark expressions of the region. Aromatic, herbal, and not without nicely ripened black cherry fruit, this wine is among Bierzo's finest.
