While this estate is 100 years old and now onto its fifth generation, the history of their land is ancient. Giovanna, Stefano and their children work out of a 10th century monestary that was devoted to agriculture and viticulture. Their farming is polycultural with only 1/6 of their land devoted to grapevines with the balance dedicated to olives, chickpeas, spelt, and wild woodland. Nothing is treated with chemicals, fermentations are native and without temperature control, and sulfur is used only when necessary. They are deeply involved in local agriculture, and severely under-the-radar.

This 2015 is a beautiful representation of the raw, yet precise style that has become characteristic of Pacina. Earth, fallen leaves & mushrooms with dark fruit like plum, blackberry & black currant and soaring, balsamic acidity.
