100% Garnacha from two parcels; one in the village of Artajona, the other in Artazu. Vines are predominantly bush-trained, and are cultivated without the use of herbicides or insecticides; only sulfur and low doses of copper are used in the vineyard. After a partial destemming, the wine undergoes fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel before aging 1 year in used 500L French oak. Medicinal cherry fruit appears on the attack and is supported by medium-high acidity and delicate tannins. A really lovely finish suggests that this wine will benefit from a few more years in bottle, though undeniably enjoyable now.
