Les Vignes du Fresche 2024 Glou (Gamay/Grolleau)

A long-standing organic estate in the heart of Anjou region, Domaine du Fresche ended with the sad passing of Alain Boré, who ran the family estate. Since his passing, Marc Houtin (from Grange Aux Belles) became involved in the future of the estate, which has a little over 25 hectares of vineyards that were farmed organically for over 30 years. It's a special place and Houtin has done a great job of continuing Boré's legacy, producing affordable and honest wines from local grape varieities. 'Glou' is the newest wine from the Vignes du Fresche project, and is their candidate for "Best Anjou chilled red." A blend of Gamay and Grolleau, sure to please and perfect for anything off the grill! -EL
