Lafond 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Roc-Épine"

Domaine Lafond is one of the leading estates in Tavel and makes an excellent Châteauneuf-du-Pape as well. Organic farming certified since 2012 and now Biodynamic as well. (From approximately 50 - 70 year-old vines, 70-80% Grenache, 10-20 % Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre,  on Cabrières, Farguerol, Les Pradel (all N-W), Les Grandes Serres (S), L’Étang).  Known primarily for their superb Tavel, the Lafond Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a great success in 2021, beautifully balanced with deep plum, cherry and garrigue flavors that coat the palate, with a long red fruit and mineral finish.
