Lamole is a historic hilltop town in Chianti miles up a winding road which transports you back in time. I Fabbri’s vines are at about 1800 feet in elevation (amongst the highest in Chianti Classico) and the altitude certainly informs the wines' gracefulness and elegance; biodynamic farming in turn supports transparency and focus. Owned by the Grassi family for many generations, the wines we now enjoy are thanks to Susanna Grassi, who returned to her home and took over the vineyards in 2000. 

This 2021 Terra di Lamole is made from old vines in sandy soils and appears light at first, but the structure builds. Beyond red cherry there are even more savory undertones like tobacco, spice & herbs with very fine tannins. This would be a spectacular pairing with roasted pork, lasagna, and chicken liver toast, to name a few ideas.
