Grandes Vignes 2018 "Le Malabé" Bonnezeaux

If you love a sweet Chenin (and you really should give it a try if you haven't yet) then this is definitely for you! Bonnezeaux is one of the few sweet Chenin Blanc appellations for the Loire valley so it is a rare treat. The vineyards from Domaine Les Grandes Vignes are all certified organic and biodynamic as the health of their soil and team are extremely important to them, despite being one of the larger estates (around 50 hectares) in the region. The residual sugar is a little under 200g/l but with the natural acidity of the wine, there is great balance. Succulent and sweet, classic and delicious, from the steep slopes of "Le Malabé," one of the greatest vineyaards of the Layon.
