Clar just keeps getting better! Every year, Ruben has been dialing in a precise, complex, and simultaneosly easy-going style for this white wine. Majority Xarel-lo (80%) with Chardonnay, Malvasia de Sitges, Parellada and Garnatxa Blanca. A fresh wine but with dimension, partly due to short, infusion-style maceration (without pump-over or extraction) with the skins for several days, which gives a touch of fleshiness to the mid-palate. Notes of basil, peach, and delicate florals flow nicely from the nose to the palate. We highly recommend for all refreshing white wine fans, and especially for anyone interested in regional whites from around Barcelona.
