50-67% Roussanne (1986), 33-50% Marsanne (1986) from red clay, stony, some granite soils on Les Bâties (Les Murettes for the boys) at Larnage, same soils as Les Rocoules at Hermitage, fermented, raised 25% new, 75% 1-3 year 228-litre & 600-litre oak casks 12 months, “Les Murettes usually gives rich, rounded wines”, malo completed. 2024:"shiny yellow robe; the bouquet is nice and traditional, offers lift and interest, floral edging, dried fruits, apricot. The palate serves a joli early display led by cool white fruits with a good level of content in support, a nice underpinning, carries drifts of freshness, is very authentic, comes with varied prompts on both nose and palate, where there are citrus touches, peach and walnut in the flavour, the aftertaste salted, the length fresh. This is really nice, true. “It has grain,” François Ribo. 65% Rouss, 35% Marsanne." (Drink Rhone) Enjoy over the next ten years.
