Chantereves 2023 Bourgogne Aligote Mainbey Elevage Prolonge

The lieu-dit Mainbey is located in the Haute Cotes de Beaune across a valley from the village of Fussey at an altitude of 470 meters. They are some of the oldest vines in the domaine, planted in 1981 and is the stoniest parcel of Aligote from Chantereves. They press whole clusters and aged in used 228-600 liter oak barrels. As an "Elevage Prolonge" the wine remains in barrel for approximately 22 months rather than the domaine's customary 17 months. This extended maturation enhances the wines' concentration, energy, and textural complexity while preserving the freshness and precision that define Chanterêves' white wines.
