Closel 2023 Savennières La Jalousie (Arrives 8/18)

Our tasting with the new team at Domaiine du Closel in February was truly exciting, as the change in winemaking was immediately evident, with both "La Jalousie" and "Les Caillardières" showing a dryer, more focused and mineral style. While we have always loved the more forward, softer versions of "La Jalousie," the 2023 was signing a new song of complex earth, yellow fruits, citrus and herbal notes with a full-bodied beautiful palate. Here a new level of minerality was very evident, with fabuous length and terroir expression. Always a superb Savennières, the 2023 "La Jalousie" has reached another level...
