The vines here are located on dense clay soils, the wine had excellent tart fruit such as pomegranate and red berries with a hint of blueberry. It is a lively and bright red Burgundy.
Grapes are hand-harvested, then kept whole-cluster for crushing. Maceration occurs for 14 days in large vats, with just a few pump-overs. The wine is aged 10 months in old barrels. No fining, with minimal amounts of sulfur are added as needed.
