From a 0.21 hectare plot within Clos Roussots, these vines were planted in 1990 and create a wine with more rich and bold textures and tannins. There is a very nice perfumed nose here with florals and darker fruits like cherry. This wine will benefit from some time aging.
Grapes are hand-harvested, then kept whole-cluster for crushing. Maceration occurs for 14 days in large vats, with just a few pump-overs. The wine is aged 10 months in old barrels. No fining, with minimal amounts of sulfur are added as needed.
