Berry-Althoff 2024 Vin de France Embruns

Embruns is 100% Macabeu planted on Pyrenees fluvioglacial alluvium soils, farmed biodynamically from Louise and Léo from Domaine Pouderoux. The grapes are harvested by hand, picked early to keep freshness while still exhibiting great mineral depth. The word 'Embruns' translates to 'sea breeze' but specifically refers to the tiny droplets of water blown in from the sea that cover the vines and vegetation around the vineyard. This shows great energy and complexity that evolves with some time in the glass, with a salty minerality that mingles with subtle fruit and lifted herbs.
