Chemins de L'Arkose 2023 Oppidum Blanc

The 2023 Arkose "Oppidum" is 100% Chardonnay grown on both basalt and limestone terroir on the south facing slope of the Corent volcano. ("Oppidum" refers to a fortified settlement of the Arvernes people at Corent in the 1st and 2nd centuries BC). Aged 1 year, 2/3 in barrels, 1/3 in vat, unfiltered. Bright gold color, aromas of yellow fruits, mango, citrus and stone. The palate is dense and ripe with peach, lemon and apricot in a frame of firm minerality with an extraordinary texture and beautiful finish, showcasing one of the many superb terroirs in the Auvergne. Sip by itself or serve wth seared scallops, shellfish, goat cheeses.
