Carpe is a new wine from Philippe, from younger (10-15 year old) Chenin Blanc vines on schist soils. It's a pure and fresh expression of Chenin, with some flinty reduction on the nose and crisp apple fruit. There's an underlying minerality with subtle texture and balanced acidity, easy to enjoy on its own but substantial enough to hold up to a variety of dishes. An outstanding value Chenin that hits all the right notes!
