A single plot on the outskirts of the village of Santenay that sits on marl-sand and limestone soils. The vines were planted in the 1980s.
The grapes are hand harvested after pressing the juice is allowed to settle before being placed in barrels to ferment with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged in 10% new oak barrels for 10 months, followed by sitting for a month in stainless steel vats before bottling.
The wine is quite classic, with a beautiful nose of stoney minerality. Theres nice weight to it with a nice balanced acidity. This price almost seems too good to be true!
