Passetoutgrain Rosé from Sirugue-Noellat in Vosne-Romanée

5/19/25 -

It is not every day that you find a rosé from Burgundy, but even further it is not every day that you find a rosé from Burgundy where the fruit is coming from Vosne-Romanée! From inarguably some of the best real estate for wines in the entire world comes this humble, delicious rosé.

Both Arnaud Sirugue (of Domaine Robert Sirugue) and Sophie Noellat (of Domaine Michel Noellat) come from long lines of vignerons from Vosne-Romanée. The two are married and created the Sirugue-Noellat estate in 2016 with just 2 wines: Vosne-Romanée 'La Barreaux' and a Bourgogne Passetoutgrain Rosé. Arnaud spent time training in Provence at Domaine Minuty, so when returning home to Burugndy he knew he wanted to make "a fun wine to drink with friends and family." They happen to have a fair bit of Pinot Noir and Gamay on the plateau just below the village that are perfect for this wine. I have been enjoying this wine for the past 3 vintages and it always hits the spot!

The 2023 vintage is fantastic! There is slightly more Gamay in the breakdown than in past vintages but the resulting wine has beautiful, bright notes of raspberry and wild strawberry. The fruit is juicy with a touch of rose petal. This is a truly stunning rose aromatically, that is the definition of easy drinking. I can already picture myself popping a cork on a bottle by the pool! We are very excited to showcase this wine here on the shelves just in time for summer! And to sweeten the deal even more, when you buy 6 bottles get 10% off today and tomorrow! This is a great way to stock up for summer bbqs.
