Light and chillable reds for the Summer!

It's June tomorrow, and the Summer will be fully upon us in no time. To help you prepare for upcoming trips to the beach, park, roof or even fire escape, we've assembled a list of some of our favorite light reds, all ready for a chill and all sure to please as accompaniments to snacks, BBQs and Summertime meals. All of the wines in today's offer have subtle, or in some cases barely perceptible tannic structure, which means they retain their lively acidity and fruit at cold temps without the negative effect of the cold on the mouthfeel of a tannic, full-bodied red. Whites and rosés always have their place during the Summer, Skin Contact ("Orange") wines emerged as a new and fun category in the last 10-15 years... but we're told "chillable reds" are the new thing. Good thing we've been extolling their virtues to customers for decades - We may be old but we're still hip!* (or does saying hip make us sound old?).
