Chambers Street has had Brovia on the shelves for over 20 years, basically as long as the shop has been around. Jamie Wolff is a huge champion for the wines, having visited Brovia almost every year since 2003. I am also a big fan of the Castiglione Falletto based winery, but gained an even deeper appreciation after attending a seminar with Elena Brovia and Alex Sanchez. Today we are thrilled to present the new 2022 cru Barolo releases. The wines are stunning, but when dropped into the context of the challenging 2022 growing season, the success of the vintage is even more remarkable. The name of the game here is balance, freshness, and aroma, which Alex and Elena credit to work in the vineyard. Here at CSW we know great wines start in the vines, and the exceptional results from Alex Sanchez and Elena Brovia is one of the most tangible examples of this philosophy on our shelves lately. While 2022 is not the year for long term cellaring, the wines will bring joy to your table in the short and mid-term.

Here is a word from our own Jamie Wolff on Brovia:

The wines have been outstanding for a very long time, but they seem to be getting better and better; it’s an exciting time at Brovia as the younger generation builds on the foundation of quality and integrity established many years ago. Vineyard work is now entirely organic; fermentation is with indigenous yeasts, and SO2 is minimized; the aging of the wines is very old school... We have not found a better way to say it – Brovia must be counted as one of the greatest winemakers in Piedmont. -Jamie Wolff
