Valle Reale 2025 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Sources from both the Popoli and Capestrano vineyards, averaging at around 1000 feet of elevation. The specifc clone of Montepulciano is called 'Popoli' with smaller berries and compact bunches which thrive in this cooler zone of Abruzzo. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged in stainless steel.

This is their freshest Montepulciano, with cool blue and black fruit, great acidity, and a leafy, herbaceous quality like tarragon and pine. It almost reminded me of a Cheverny-Rouge when I first tasted it. An incredible Montepulciano d'Abruzzo at a lovely value.
