The specifc clone of Montepulciano is called 'Valle Peligna' with smaller berries and compact bunches which thrive in this cooler zone of Abruzzo. While this 8 year old Cerasuolo has lost some of its plump red fruit, its gained a slightly more savory, balsamic profile.
