Turley 2023 Zinfandel Rattlesnake Ridge

This is the most structured of the Turley Zins, coming from Rattlesnake Ridge Vineyard at the top of the Howell Mountain AVA within Napa. The vines were planted in 1999 at 2600 feet elevation, where they get plenty of sun while maintaining cool temperatures, even seeing some snow in the winter. The wine is powerful and firm off the bat, but with just a swirl in the glass starts open up nicely to reveal layers of dark fruit and spice. It's already showing great balance and intensity, with fine tannins and great acidity. This will continue to evolve nicely over the next decade or more, a phenomenal wine now but showing superb potential.
