From the lieu-dit of Les Barreaux that sits directly up the slope from 1er Crus Cros Parantoux and Petits Monts. Soils here are sand, gravel, with some limestone. Vines are 50-60 years old and the wine is made 50% whole cluster and aged 14-16 months in 30% new French oak. The wine is super concentrated with notes of 5 spice, ripe black cherry, and cranberry. It is generous and lively with amazing acidity and energy. Simply delicious.
