The ancient Greeks farmed the zone we know now as the Feudo contrada due to the unique microclimate with cooling winds. This lovely wine shows a more serious, mineral driven profile- stones, almonds, acid, texture and a subtle note of cinnamon and clove in the finish.
90% Carricante, 10% Catarratto/Grecanico from younger vines in Contrada Feudo in Randazzo which has volcanic soils and an important concentration of rocks rich in minerals. 4 hour maceration and aging in second+third passage barrique and tonneaux for 6 months, followed by a minimum of 6 months in bottle.
