Ria's Wines 2024 Riesling Grace

2024 was a great vintage for Finger Lakes Riesling and it really shows in this bottling, which comes from the oldest vines on the Estate Vineyard, planted in the early 1980s. The site sits about 600-800 feet above Seneca Lake on a slope with western facing exposure. Soils are Honeoye silt loam, unofficially known as the state soil of New York. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged for six months in stainless steel. It shows great energy and focus, with vibrant tree fruit aromatics alongside stony minerality. There's just a touch of sweetness at about 4g/L residual sugar, but with great acidity that gives the impression of being totally dry. A great cool-climate Riesling that shows incredible freshness and depth.
