The Rapet's parcel is within the Ile des Vergelesses Hautes Vergelesses, the most celebrated upper portion on the slope on iron-rich clay limestone soils. This site is considered to be of Grand Cru quality. The 2024 is incredible with a deep concentration of flavor with great structure. There are notes of cranberry and black cherry followed by deep spices. This wine has a very long finish and is clearly built to last. Decant if opening it soon, otherwise you will be rewarded if you want 3-5+ years.
