Punset 2023 Langhe Arneis

Maria makes a pied de cuve in the vineyard and then mixes that with the juice to spark fermentation. Then there are are few days of skin contact, not in the style of orange wine, but to give the wine aroma and texture. There is a slightly oxidative brown apple note, a touch of tahini, and the aromatics reminded me of crysanthemum and chamomile teas. The finish is silky and broad. My new favorite Autumn wine! Great for Thanksgiving or any Fall activities or meals you have planned. 

Punset is certified organic and practicing biodynamic or as fourth generation winemaker Maria Macarino calls it, "the agriculture of doing nothing".
