The fruit for Fogar do Castrino is sourced from 100+ year old vines from two different plots. This bottle sees the longest elevage of all the Nanclares wines, with 24 months on the gross lees in new 500L Chestnut barrel. Battonage for the first month and an extra 21 months in bottle yield a stunning, elevated Albarino with a pearly texture and high, well integrated acid. If any of their wines has potential to evolve with some time in the cellar, it's this one.
