This is 100% Carricante from the Calderara Sottana contrada, hand harvested and macerated several hours before being fermented and aged 12 months in stainless steel. It sees about six months on the lees, adding texture and depth. Despite the hot and dry conditions in Etna during 2023, this is a fresh and pristine example of Carricante, showcasing the grape's deeply mineral side and racy acidity, with subtle fruit and profound texture. It strikes a beautiful balance between chiseled structure and more broad texture, harmonious and cohesive, while still full of character.
