Laval, Georges 2014 Cumieres 1er Cru Les Longues Voiles (Arrives 10/14)

A very special bottling that is a blend of mainly Pinot Noir with some Pinot Meunier. The vines were planted in 1947, 1964, and 1984. The soils have never had any herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers. The wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels before spending 72+ months sur lattes. This is a Champagne of real finesse with a beautiful richness in quality. This is a special wine to open now but will continue to evolve to many years to come.
