Lapalu 2022 Brouilly Vieilles Vignes

("From vines his grandfather reports were old when he began farming in 1940..." says David Schildknecht. One would assume that the vines are over 100 years old) This is a superb, delicate but intensely flavored Beaujolais that is a real pleasure! Very complex and pretty aromas of bright raspberry,  and dried cherry with rose, spice, musk and earth. The flavors continue on the palate with darker fruits, blackberry and red-currant,that is light but dense and beautifully balanced with refreshing acidity, saline minerals and a hint of anise in the finish.
