50/50 Pinot Noir, Gamay from a 1 hectare vineyard in Volnay at the border of Meursault. The vines were planced in 1928 and replaced as needed over the years. It is 100% destemmed and undergoes ambient yeast fermentation in concrete tank. It is aged for 15-18 months in used barrels. It is an elegant and expressive wine with red cherry, violets, and spice. It has fine tannins and great freshness with lots of energy. Drink now or hold it for 3-5 years.
