From the importer, GK Selections: The Chão de Lava is a blend of traditional varieties of the Azores, mostly Arinto dos Açores and Verdelho, but also small quantities of other things from older field blended vineyards. Fermented and aged "sur lies" for about one year in small horizontal tanks.
