From a 0.77 hectare plot in Les Jouise, the vines were planted between 1950-1995. Made with 50% whole cluster fermentation. Aged in 30% new oak for 16-18 months. There is a darker, more concentrated aspect to this wine in comparison to the Gevrey VV. Notes of spiced dark cherry and cranberry with nice earthy tones. The wine has great texture and strength. Can be enjoyed now but will benefit from some bottle age.
