Pierre Goiset's superb 2025 "La Mauguit" is really a Muscadet, from 75 year-old Melon de Bourgogne vines on soils of orthogneiss and quartz in a parcel called "La Mauguitonniere" in Maisdon-sur-Sevre. The wine is crystalline and vibrant with mineral flavors and white fruits, with teriific length. Organic farming of course and minimal added SO2.
