Gemma Miro 2024 Caranyena La Partio

This single-vineyard Carinyena comes from a 1 hectare plot belonging to Gemma and her family. The wine underegoes a semi-carbonic fermentation before seven months' aging in stainless steel. Unfined, unfiltered, and without addition of sulfur. This wine shows length I can't say I've ever found in Carignan (and I really love monovarietal Carignan), with a signature Catalan balance between ripe, sun-kissed fruit, acid with length, and an elegant structure. No doubt this wine will show well with 3-5 years of proper storage, but it's hard to pass up how delicious it is right now.
