Dujardin 2022 Monthélie 1er Cru Les Champs Fulliot

The most well known of Monthelie vineyards, neighboring Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chenes and Meursault 1er Cru Les Caillerets. The vineyard is distinguished by its red limestone-clay soils. The Dujardins have just 0.4895 hecatres of wines that are 30 years old. The grapes are pressed 100% de-stemmed and undergo a 18 day maceration with gentle extraction. Aged for 12 months in 10% new oak followed by 6 months in tank before bottling. This is an incredibly elegant wine with a perfumed nose with notes of plum and cheery. There is great depth with a lifted finish of juicy fruit.
