Bouland, Daniel 2022 Morgon Bellevue "Sable"
The Bouland Morgon "Bellevue Sable" is from average 40 to 50 year-old vines in the lieu dit "Bellevue" in the larger vineyard of Corcelette, located in the northwestern sector of Villié-Morgon. " The 2022 version is a young wine with a proper underlying Morgon chassis of tannin. The bouquet is deep and sappy, wafting from the glass in a mix of sweet dark berries, black cherries, a nice dollop of fresh herbs, coffee bean, dark soil tones, roasted meats and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and sports outstanding mid-palate depth, with fine soil signature, ripe,
buried tannins and excellent length and grip on the complex and impeccably balanced, youthful finish. This is going to be an outstanding and very long-lived example of Morgon." John Gilman "View from the Cellar"
