Bouland, Daniel 2021 Morgon Bellevue Sable

The Bouland Morgon "Bellevue Sable" is from average 40 to 50 year-old vines in the lieu dit "Bellevue" in the larger vineyard of Corcelette, located in the northwestern sector of Villié-Morgon. "The 2021version is lovely, wafting from the glass in a mix of black cherries, pomegranate, sweet cranberries, dark soil tones, pigeon, sweet stem tones and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, moderately tannic and nicely soil-driven in personality, with a lovely core of fruit, bouncy acids, fine focus and grip and a long, well balanced and complex finish. This is excellent Morgon in the making, but give it a few years in the cellar." The View from the Cellar
