Bouland, Daniel 2021 Morgon Bellevue Cailloux

"Daniel Bouland’s “Bellevue Cailloux” cuvée is crafted from his older vines in this climat, with the vines more than sixty years of age and planted on granitic soils. The 2021 Bellevue Cailloux comes in at an even thirteen percent octane this year and offers up a fine young bouquet of black cherries, pomegranate, coffee bean, bonfire, gamebird, a touch of fresh thyme and a lovely base of stony soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite structured, with a superb core of fruit, fine mineral undertow and grip, ripe, firm tannins and lovely balance on the long, nascently complex and chewy finish.
