Arnot-Roberts 2024 Pinot Noir Fox Creek Vineyard (arrives 5/20)

This comes from a vineyard planted in 2006 at 1100' elevation high above the Carmel Valley in Monterey County. The vineyard site is a bit mysterious as not much is known about the owner or history, but it is farmed organically and Arnot-Roberts seem to be one of the few producers fortunate enough to get their hands on some grapes each year. The 2024 is beautiful, an absolute stunner of a Pinot Noir: bright berry fruit, mineral and layered but still medium/light bodied and with incredible energy. There is a cool herbal lift and hints of spice along with pure, joyous fruit that shines through. Texture, vibrancy, character, everything we love about great Pinot Noir. JD
