Vinyer de la Ruca 2023 Ullamp

An extremely limited bottling of 100% Mourvedre from one, 0.3 hectare vineyard. Deep and long, with purple/blue fruit and earthy tones. Grapes are placed, whole cluster, in a large circular wooden press and foot-stomped. Stems are removed by hand one day later, and after 3-4 days the fruit is pressed and the wine ferments and ages in old (10-20 year-old) used barrels that Manuel gets from Sebastien Bobinet in the Loire Valley. 300 bottles produced. Each bottle is hand blown and entirely unique.
